Priyanka Arul Mohan has shared an emotional note about her upcoming Tamil film ‘Manjanathi’, directed by Mari Selvaraj.
The actor, who has been signed as the female lead, took to Instagram to express her excitement about entering the world created by the filmmaker. Describing her experience of reading the script, Priyanka said every page brought her closer to a story filled with emotion and depth.
Calling ‘Manjanathi’ a project that left a strong impression even before filming began, Priyanka said she was looking forward to beginning the journey with Mari Selvaraj.
She also highlighted the presence of legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja, whose music will be an integral part of the film. According to Priyanka, having Ilaiyaraaja provide the musical backdrop makes the project even more meaningful.
The film has already attracted attention because of its combination of Mari Selvaraj, Ilaiyaraaja and actors Kathir and Priyanka Arul Mohan.
Kathir, who previously worked with Mari Selvaraj in the acclaimed ‘Pariyerum Perumal’, had earlier shared his own thoughts about the project. The actor suggested that the film had made him reconsider the way people experience and understand love, with different individuals perceiving the emotion in very different ways.
‘Manjanathi’ recently commenced production. Alongside Kathir and Priyanka, the cast features Kayadu Lohar, Poornima Ravi, Vidhu, Kaaka Muttai Vignesh and Rahul, who is known for his role in ‘Vaazhai’.
Ezhil Arasu is handling the cinematography, while Selva R K is the editor. Ramu Thangaraj is serving as the production designer, with Dhilip Subbarayan taking charge of the stunt choreography and Sandy Master choreographing the dance sequences.
