The official trailer for director Mari Selvaraj’s new film, ‘Bison’, has been released, confirming its theme as a raw and politically charged Kabaddi sports drama.
The trailer showcases actor Dhruv Vikram in the lead role as a lower-caste boy determined to overcome societal oppression through the sport.
Known for his hard-hitting, socially conscious cinema (Pariyerum Perumal, Karnan), Mari Selvaraj bases ‘Bison’ on the real-life story of Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan.
The film is set for a theatrical release on October 17, 2025, just before the Deepavali weekend. The film is notably co-produced by renowned director Pa. Ranjith under his banner, Neelam Productions.
