Actors Jr. NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, director Koratala Siva, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, and other members of the soon-to-be pan-India action drama, ‘Devara’, interacted with the Tamil film media in Chennai.
Speaking at the event, NTR made a special request to acclaimed filmmaker, Vetrimaaran.
Expressing his wish to collaborate with Vetrimaaran, NTR said, “Vetrimaaran sir is my most favorite filmmaker in Tamil. Vetrimaaran sir, please make a film with me at least in Tamil, we will dub it in Telugu later,” urged the ‘Devara’ star.
While NTR’s latest statement adds fuel to the ongoing speculations about a possible collaboration between him and Vetrimaaran, it remains to be seen whether or not the ‘Viduthalai’ director comes up with a suitable script for NTR in the near future.
At the event, NTR also recollected the fond memories of his childhood in Chennai. “Chennai is very special to me. As a child, I learned Kuchipudi in Chennai. Cinema unites the people of all languages and this was reflected in the box office success of so many movies. Telugu film industry took its baby steps in this city,” said NTR.
Also starring Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in a crucial role, ‘Devara: Part 1’ is produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Mikkilineni Sudhakar, and Kosaraju Hari Krishna. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide on September 27.
