Kamal Haasan has announced he will be working with Mani Ratnam for his next flick.
The new film will mark their first collaboration in 35 years after they worked together on 1987 action drama “Nayakan”.
Kamal Haasan, who recently starred in Vikram, shared the news in a post on Twitter, a day ahead of his 68th birthday.
The latest update is that famous writer Jeyamohan is onboard the project.
Sources said that Mani Ratnam and Jeyamohan will be jointly writing the screenplay and dialogues.
The film will be jointly produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies, Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International and Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies.
The music will be composed by AR Rahman. Kamal Haasan is part of ‘Indian 2’ directed by Shankar.
Mani Ratnam is banking on the success of ‘Ponniyin Selvan -1’ and is busy with the post production work of ‘PS-2’.
