‘Indian 2’ shooting all set to resume

‘Indian 2’ starring Kamal Hassan and directed by Shankar was being filmed in many parts of India. However, shooting came to an abrupt end following a mishap in which three persons from the film’s crew were killed.

The latest buzz is that the makers are planning to resume shooting next year.

It is said that Kamal Hassan will join the team and start shooting in January or February 2021 so that he can later concentrate on the upcoming Assembly polls.

The movie is the sequel to blockbuster movie ‘Indian’ released in 1996. The flick is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.

‘Indian 2’ has been facing one problem or the other ever since its shoot commenced. While a huge mishap on the sets, which resulted in the death of three persons, brought the shoot to halt, then came Covid-19 induced lockdown.

With the government allowing movie shoots with restrictions, the project is yet to resume, which has apparently disturbed Shankar. Meanwhile, sources close to the production house has denied any rift and said the shoot would resume soon. “It is a prestigious project,” they added.
