Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Kaantha’ locks release date

Dulquer Salmaan has finally confirmed the release date of his ambitious Tamil-period drama ‘Kaantha’, which will arrive in theatres on November 14, 2025.

The film, also starring Bhagyashri Borse and Samuthirakani, is set against the backdrop of 1950s Madras, weaving a story around ambition, rivalry, and the evolution of cinema itself.

Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj under a reputed banner, ‘Kaantha’ explores the price of fame and the conflict between artistry and morality.

The film was originally slated for a September release, but post-production refinements have pushed it back to November to ensure a polished final product.

With its vintage look, stunning production design, and Dulquer’s growing pan-Indian appeal, Kaantha is among the most eagerly awaited releases of the year.
