Arulnithi takes on divine Karuppusamy avatar in ‘Vetta Saami’

Arulnithi is set to portray the folk deity Karuppusamy in his upcoming film ‘Vetta Saami’, which also features Ameer in a prominent role.

The title and first glimpse of the film were recently released, introducing viewers to a colourful village temple festival. The visuals show devotees taking part in prayers and traditional celebrations before shifting focus to Arulnithi in an intense Karuppusamy-inspired appearance.

Ameer is also seen performing rituals as a devotee, giving the glimpse a strong spiritual and rural backdrop. The promotional video hints at a dramatic story rooted in village traditions and faith.

Interestingly, the first glimpse was launched by RJ Balaji, who is directing ‘Karuppu’, another film featuring Suriya in the role of Karuppusamy.

‘Vetta Saami’ is written and directed by M Selvakumar, known for the 2023 film ‘Bumper’. Samuel Mathew is producing the project under 7 Miles Per Second Productions.

The film has an extensive supporting cast, including Aadukalam Naren, Madhusudhan Rao, Hareesh Peradi, Viji Chandrasekar, Indumathi Manikandan and Mynaa Nandhini, among others.

Ghibran is composing the music, while RD Rajasekar is handling cinematography and Ruben is responsible for the editing.

Arulnithi was last seen in ‘Arulvaan’, which released in July. His next release is expected to be Ajay Gnanamuthu’s ‘Demonte Colony 3’, scheduled to reach cinemas on September 10. Ameer was most recently seen in Mari Selvaraj’s ‘Bison Kaalamaadan’.
