70th Filmfare Awards South: Sivakarthikeyan wins big

The 70th Filmfare Awards South concluded with the Tamil industry celebrating a year of cinematic excellence.

Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Amaran’ emerged as the night’s biggest victor, sweeping major categories including Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Actress.

The ceremony also highlighted the growing trend of collaborative storytelling across the Southern industries.

Beyond the main awards, Arvind Swami and Anna Ben were recognized by critics for their powerful performances in ‘Meiyazhagan’ and ‘Kottukkaali’, respectively.

Technical brilliance was also honoured, with C.H. Sai winning Best cinematography for the visually stunning ‘Amaran’.

The event, held in association with the Kerala Tourism board, served as a grand reminder of the rising global influence of South Indian storytelling.
