An emotional journey

– Review
Rohini is a poor sweeper who travels 30 km every day to earn some money. Her son dies while working as a manual scavenger.
She decides to get justice for her son’s death and is helped by Shraddha Srinath and the leader of a labour union.
The movie is based on a real-life incident about manual scavenging. It talks about the issues faced by manual scavengers and the deaths that continue to happen even today.
Director Deepak has not made any commercial compromises with the message that he wants to convey. Deepak has done his research on the sensitive topic and the movie is loaded with facts.
Screenplay by Muthuvel and JP Sanakya ensure that the audience are glued to the screen. Rohini has delivered an emotional performance one more time. She conveys the plight of the grieving mother effectively.
Shradha Srinath plays a solid role and helps in taking the movie forward. Rest of the cast including Subatra Robert, Shanmuga Raja, Azhagam Perumal, G Selva, Rajeev Anand, Tamilarasan and Srinath have all done their part well.
Music by Ramesh Thamilmani compliments the movie well. With Deepak handling the camera as well, he is able to manage to capture the emotions of the characters in an effective manner.
