Nayanthara is set to reunite with Superstar Rajinikanth on the big screen in the upcoming film ‘Dharman’, adding further star power to the much-anticipated project. Director Ashwath Marimuthu welcomed the actress to the cast through a social media message following a teaser announcement from the production house.
Raaj Kamal Films International had hinted at a fresh addition to the film’s cast in a post shared on Sunday. The announcement sparked curiosity among fans before Marimuthu responded with a warm welcome to Nayanthara.
The actress joins a cast that includes Rajinikanth, Ram Pothineni and Raashii Khanna. The film has already progressed through several shooting schedules, with the director confirming in September that the third schedule had been completed.
Raashii Khanna recently offered fans a glimpse of the filming experience in Mysuru through photographs shared on Instagram. Her post described the team’s early-morning workouts, temple visits, leisurely outings and games of UNO between shooting commitments. She also highlighted the local cuisine, particularly Mysuru dosa, as part of her enjoyable time on location.
‘Dharman’ is backed by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran, with S Disney serving as co-producer. The project is being produced under the banners of Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media.
Anirudh has been brought on board to compose the music, while Niketh Bommi is handling cinematography and Pradeep E Raghav is overseeing the editing.
Nayanthara’s casting is also significant because she and Rajinikanth have previously appeared together in four Tamil films: ‘Chandramukhi’ (2005), ‘Kuselan’ (2008), ‘Darbar’ (2020) and ‘Annaatthe’ (2021).
Their reunion in ‘Dharman’ has added another layer of anticipation to the project, with audiences eager to see the two stars share screen space once again.
