“Uruttu Uruttu”
– Review
The film’s premise centers on a village girl (Rithvika Shreya) who inexplicably falls for a local gangster (Gajesh Nagesh). Her naive affection triggers a series of events that forces her to defy her own gangster father and try to reform the man she loves.
Directed by Baskar Sadhasivam, the film’s strength lies in its bizarre plot. The narrative is full of clever twists and turns that keeps the audience guessing, with a plot that unfolds in unexpected and often hilarious ways.
Gajesh Nagesh, in his best performance to date, shines in a role that allows him to be both menacing and goofy.
His chemistry with Rithvika Shreya is a highlight, creating a magnetic on-screen pairing that makes their unconventional romance believable.
Mottai Rajendran steals every scene he’s in. Rest of the supporting actors have also done their part well.
Baskar Sadhasivam doubles as the cinematographer, and his lensing gives the film a warm, rustic feel that perfectly complements its village setting.
The music by Arunagiri S.N. is a major plus, with its catchy, folk-inspired tunes adding an extra layer of charm to the proceedings.
