Into the world of children

– Review

Ajidhan Thavasimuthu, is a young boy from a place nestled deep inside the Kanyakumari district.
His father is a labourer in the plantation industry and has to work hard to provide for his family which comprises Ajidhan’s mother and younger sister.
Just like every other kid, Ajidhan too is fond of cricket and wants to buy a bat. However, he knows that his father cannot afford one.
So, he starts collecting cricket cards hoping that he will be able to exchange them for a bat.
Ajidhan has only one friend KG Vishnu who understands his love for sports. Vishnu also comes from a poor family whose father is an alcoholic.
Things take a turn when a rich kid from the neighbourhood brings a video game. What happens next and how it affects the life of Ajidhan and Vishnu forms the rest of the story.
Director Sadhu Burlington D should be appreciated for making a movie which is realistic and staying true to the story.
The movie brings to light the prejudices people have and shows how wealth plays an important role in forming perceptions about individuals. Ajidhan and Vishnu have delivered a stellar performance.
They fit their respective roles perfectly and take the audience into their world. Rest of the cast have also delivered what was expected from them.
S Sam Edwin Manohar and J Stanley John’s music complements the movie well. V Sivananth Gandhi’s camera has captured the beauty of Kanyakumari in an aesthetic manner.
