A modern love story

‘Mr Housekeeping’

Movie Review

Haribaskar falls in love with Losliya in college. But since Losliya does not accept his love, Hari challenges her that he will settle down in life by falling in love with another woman within 4 years of graduating from college.
After 4 years, Haribaskar fails in his one side love as she gets married to another person. Unable to bear it, Haribaskar attempts suicide. His friend Shah Ra takes him out.
At one point, Haribaskar has to go to work as a housekeeper. This house turns put to be Losliya’s.
However, Hari works there and tries to make Losliya fall in love with him. Losliya, understanding Hari, starts seeing him as her bestie.
What happens next forms the core plot of the movie.
Haribaskar, who is famous for his YouTube channel Jump Cuts, has made his debut as a hero through this film. He scores in comedy and has acted well in emotional scenes as well. Losliya has played the role of Isai well.
Directed by Arun Ravichandran, the strength of the film is the brilliant screenplay.
The film does not focus only on comedy but also has good writing in all areas like love and family, so it does not get boring anywhere.
Ilavarasu and Uma Ramachandran score with their realistic performances. Shah Ra and Bigg Boss fame Rayan have also doen their part well.
Osho Venkat’s music helps us connect with many scenes in the film. Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are appreciable as well.

Rating: 3.7/5
