Love story with a sharp lesson

“Kadukka”

– Review

Two best friends unknowingly fall in love with the same girl. When they find out, both try to talk to her separately.

But instead of giving a clear answer, the girl playfully confuses them, keeping them both stuck in their love dreams.

Why does she behave this way? Does she really love anyone at all? Kadukka explores this with light humor but also touches on a serious side.

Director S. S. Murugarasu has made a youthful story that is funny and easy to watch, but he also shows the problems women face in relationships.

The ending, where the heroine gives both men a “kadukka” (a bitter lesson), leaves the audience thinking even after the laughs.

The actors are all newcomers—Vijay Gowrish, Aadarsh, and Smeha—but they perform naturally.

Vijay Gowrish is very convincing as a carefree young man hanging around the bus stand, wasting time but still carrying an innocent charm.

Smeha plays the girl-next-door type very well, while also showing the hidden struggles women deal with.

Aadarsh balances the story as the second hero, and actors like Manjunathan, Manimegalai, and Sudha support the story with realistic acting.

Kevin D. Costa’s music is pleasant to listen to, with simple melodies, and the background score never feels too heavy.

The cinematography by Satish Kumar Duraikannu captures the village houses, tea shops, and bus stand in a very realistic way, making the audience feel like they are part of that world.

Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are good as well.
