Super Cool
Gulu Gulu
– Review
Santhanam is an orphan who does not hesitate to help people even at grave personal costs.
He longs to help with compassion. Meanwhile, Matilda comes to Chennai from France to see her dead father one last time.
Her arrival is not liked by her stepbrothers who decide to kidnap her. But the team assigned by the stepbrother kidnaps the wrong person.
How Santhanam gets involved in this and what happens next forms the rest of the story.
Director Rathna Kumar has got all the ingredients right to make a good dark comedy.
There is always a chill moment after a serious one. The concept looks good on paper as well.
Writing and screenplay have made the movie all the more enjoyable. With the movie going forth and back, the process is enjoyable.
Santhanam has managed to pull off the character well. Unlike his previous movies, he does not have much dialogues and has a pensive look throughout the movie.
The entire supporting cast has put up a decent performance, too.
Each character has its own layer and are portrayed by effective actors like George Mariyan, Athulya Chandra, Pradeep Rawat and Sai Dheena.
Santhosh Narayan’s background score complements the tone of the film. And so is the cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Philomin Raj. On the whole, ‘Gulu Gulu’ is a gripping entertainmer that is worth watching.
