– Review
Daniel who is from the defence force suffers from the trauma of being abducted from a war zone.
Daniel takes his pregnant wife Jennifer to a village which follows the midwifery model of childbirth.
Why did the couple go the village which follows the midwifery model, why they did not go to the hospital for delivery. What happens to the couple in the village forms the core plot of ‘Birthmark’.
Directed by Vikram Shreedharan, the movie has a strong story with an interesting screenplay.
The director has ensured that the audience are on the edge of the seat right from the word go.
The writing is one of the biggest strength of the movie. Some of the scenes have come out really well.
Shabeer Kallarakal as the hero has carried the role in an effective manner. The way in which he carries the character is mighty impressive.
Mirnaa on the other hand delivers a compelling performance. She shines in her role and takes the audience along with the journey of her character.
Rest of the cast including Porkodi Senthil, Indrajith, Deepthie and PR Varalakshmi have delivered notable performances.
Music by Vishal Chandrashekhar is mighty impressive and the director’s vision is ably supported by cinematographer Udhay Thangavel. Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are good as well.
