Love story with a twist
Bachelor
– Review
‘Bachelor’ is about the love, fight and separation of two people working in an IT company. Though the story follows the regular love movie template, director Sathish has delivered it in his own style.
The unpredictability in the screenplay is one of the major strengths of the movie.
GV Prakash and Divya Bharathi work in the same IT company. Prakash falls in love with Bharathi and somehow manages to stay in the same house as her.
Soon they both start living together. Prakash asks Divya to abort their baby after she gets pregnant. What happens next is the crux of the story.
Prakash does not have much heroism or punch dialogues in the movie. In most parts his character is actually degraded. Divya Bharathi has made the character her own and has given soul to the role. The chemistry between the lead pair is excellent which makes the audience relate to them.
Theni Easwar’s cinematography is top notch and his camerawork makes the audience travel along with the characters. Siddhu Kumar’s BGM is good. The second half could have been more crisp.
