Actor Suriya is reportedly in discussions for a major collaboration with popular Telugu director Parasuram Petla.
Sources indicate that the two have been meeting regularly for story discussions, and the actor is said to have shown interest in a concept presented by the filmmaker.
This potential project would follow Suriya’s current commitments, which include his 46th film directed by Venky Atluri, and ‘Karuppu’ directed by RJ Balaji. The move highlights a growing trend of cross-industry collaborations, as Suriya looks to build on his pan-Indian appeal.
Parasuram Petla is well-known for his knack for delivering commercial entertainers. He rose to pan-Indian prominence with the massive success of the romantic comedy ‘Geetha Govindam’, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna.
Following that, he directed Mahesh Babu in the action-comedy ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ .
