The shooting for Ram Charan’s highly anticipated Telugu sports-action drama, ‘Peddi’, is set to move to Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City for its next crucial schedule. The team is currently completing an ongoing schedule in Sri Lanka. The Hyderabad leg is expected to focus on intense, sports-based sequences.
‘Peddi’, which also features Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady and stars actors like Dr. Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma, is being made on a grand scale. The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who previously delivered the blockbuster ‘Uppena’.
The movie’s technical crew includes Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman for music and R. Rathnavelu as the cinematographer, underscoring the film’s high production values.
The story is reportedly a rural-action drama set in the 1980s coastal town of Andhra Pradesh. Although initially expected to wrap up sooner, the shoot has been extended due to the scale and detailed production design, with the makers now aiming for a worldwide release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday.
