Veteran actress and politician Roja Selvamani is making a grand return to Tamil cinema after a gap of over 12 years with the upcoming film ‘Lenin Pandiyan’, directed by D.D. Balachandran.
Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the project promises to showcase Roja in a strong, performance-oriented role named Santhanam — her first major Tamil appearance since transitioning full-time into politics.

The film features a multi-generational cast that includes musician-director Gangai Amaren and Dhaarshan Ganesan, grandson of legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan.

Set against a socially relevant backdrop, ‘Lenin Pandiyan’ is expected to explore political ideals and generational values, giving Roja’s character a commanding screen presence.

Roja, who began her career in the early 1990s with hits like ‘Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen’ and ‘Chembaruthi’, later became a major figure in Telugu cinema before turning to public life. She has since served as a legislator and minister in the Andhra Pradesh government, earning respect for her political commitment.
