The second week of October is set to deliver a massive dose of entertainment for Kollywood fans, with a powerful lineup of films and web series making their digital debut across major OTT platforms. From gritty sports drama to an intense web series and a large-scale fantasy epic, viewers have plenty to binge-watch.

Rambo (Direct OTT Premiere) – October 10 on Sun NXT:

Actor Arulnithi is all set for his direct OTT premiere with the sports action-drama ‘Rambo’. Skipping a traditional theatrical release, the film will stream exclusively on Sun NXT from October 10.

The film, directed by M. Muthaiya, is a notable departure from his signature rural storytelling, set entirely against an urban backdrop.

Arulnithi plays a kick-boxer whose life takes a dramatic turn after he intervenes to help a woman, pulling him into a bigger battle outside the ring.

The cast also features Abhirami, Tanya S. Ravichandran, and VTV Ganesh. The trailer promises a high-octane mix of action, comedy, and compelling drama.

Veduvan (Web Series) – October 10 on Zee5:

The Tamil OTT space gets a fresh addition with the highly anticipated web series ‘Veduvan’ (The Hunt Begins), which premieres on Zee5 on October 10.
Headlined by Kanna Ravi, the series is touted as a gripping emotional thriller exploring themes of love, betrayal, and redemption.

Kanna Ravi plays Sooraj, a struggling actor who gets the break of a lifetime, playing the lead in a biopic of a secretive encounter specialist named Arun.

As Sooraj dives deep into Arun’s hidden life, the lines between reel and real begin to blur, forcing him to confront dark truths and moral complexities.

Directed by Pavan, the series is expected to deliver an intense, layered narrative.

Mirai (Dubbed in Tamil) – October 10 on JioHotstar:

The grand Telugu action-fantasy film ‘Mirai’, starring Teja Sajja (of HanuMan fame), will be available to stream for Tamil audiences this week.

The movie is set to make its digital debut on JioHotstar on October 10 in multiple languages, including Tamil.

The superhero spectacle revolves around Vedha, who discovers he is the Super Yodha destined by an ancient prophecy to protect Emperor Ashoka’s nine sacred scriptures from the formidable villain, Mahabir Lama (Manchu Manoj). Known for its mythological theme, thrilling action sequences, and impressive VFX, ‘Mirai’ promises a grand cinematic experience for home viewers.

War 2 (Dubbed in Tamil) – October 9 on Netflix:

For fans of slick spy thrillers, the pan-India action film ‘War 2’ starts streaming on Netflix from October 9.
The sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe features Hrithik Roshan reprising his role as Agent Kabir, going head-to-head with a new, equally formidable antagonist played by Telugu superstar Jr NTR.
Though primarily a Hindi film, its release on Netflix will make it widely accessible to the Tamil audience, who can expect high-stakes action and spectacular production value.
