The wait for the return of Hastar’s dark legacy ‘Tumbbad 2’ is almost over.
Riding the wave of the original film’s massive 2024 re-release success, producer and lead actor Sohum Shah has officially confirmed that ‘Tumbbad 2’ will arrive in theaters on December 3, 2027.
Stepping into the director’s chair is Aadesh Prasad, who promises to explore the “deeper, more terrifying mythology” of the world established in the 2018 cult classic.
The reveal was accompanied by a chilling teaser poster featuring the haunting tagline: “The hunger rises, the legacy of greed continues.” With the backing of Pen Studios, this sequel is being developed on a much grander scale, aiming to deliver a global cinematic experience that pushes the boundaries of Indian horror-fantasy.
