Vishnu Manchu’s ambitious mythological magnum opus, ‘Kannappa’, was supposed to release in cinemas worldwide on April 25, 2025.
However, the release plans have been put on hold temporarily.
Meanwhile, speculations about Vishnu organizing a special preview of ‘Kannappa’ for several film industry bigwigs went viral on social media on Tuesday.
However, condemning the rumors, Team ‘Kannappa’ took to X and rubbished the speculative posts.
“Contrary to rumours spreading online, there was NO premiere or screening of the full movie yesterday. The Kannappa team only reviewed a 15-minute VFX segment for quality assessment and corrections,” a post on Team Kannappa’s official X handle read.
The post further said that Kannappa’s first cut is still under progress due to extensive and detailed VFX work, which demands considerable time and effort.
‘Kannappa’ also features Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, and Mohan Babu. Kajal Aggarwal, Preity Mukhundhan, and others in lead roles.
The film is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, while Vishnu Manchu is bankrolling the project.
