The makers of ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ unveiled the promotional video of the film’s second single, ‘The Wedding Song,’ on Thursday to coincide with Suriya’s birthday celebrations.
The energetic track has been sung by Suriya, with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar and lyrics written by Ramajogaiah Sastry. The promo features Suriya and Mamitha Baiju dancing during a wedding celebration, offering audiences a lively glimpse of the festive number. The complete song is scheduled to be released on July 25.
Written and directed by Venky Atluri, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ centres on an unconventional love story between a middle-aged man and a much younger woman. Suriya plays the character Sanjay Vishwanath, a name that references his memorable role in ‘Ghajini.’
Promoted as a family entertainer, the film explores themes of love, emotions and personal aspirations through an unexpected relationship.
The cast also includes Radikaa Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in prominent roles. The project marks Raveena’s return to Tamil cinema after more than two decades and her comeback to Telugu films after her previous appearance in 2014.
Supporting roles are played by Nasser, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, Sarvadaman Banerjee, Mathew Varghese, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik and Master Charvik.
The film reunites Suriya with composer GV Prakash Kumar after ‘Soorarai Pottru.’ Its technical crew includes cinematographer Nimish Ravi, editor Navin Nooli and production designer Banglan.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film is presented by Srikara Studios. The makers had earlier released the romantic track ‘Pattampoochi,’ and ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ is scheduled to arrive in theatres on August 14.
