The makers of Yash’s highly anticipated film, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ , have unveiled a striking first look of Rukmini Vasanth as Mellisa.
Stepping away from her usual “girl-next-door” roles, Rukmini exudes a quiet but dangerous sophistication in a sleek, emerald-dark gown set against a smoky 1960s party backdrop.
Director Geetu Mohandas praised the actress’s intellectual approach, noting that Rukmini often keeps a journal on set to build her character’s inner world.
Adding to the excitement, the film features a powerhouse ensemble including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, and Huma Qureshi, making it one of the most star-studded Indian productions of the year.
Industry insiders suggest that the teaser for the film is set to drop on January 8, coinciding with Yash’s birthday celebrations.
‘Toxic’ is being filmed simultaneously in Kannada and English to target a global audience, with a grand theatrical release scheduled for March 19, 2026.
