Actor Rashmika Mandanna has shared that she sustained a tendon injury in her right hip while filming ‘Mysaa’, confirming reports that she is currently recovering and taking a break from work.
In a social media update, Rashmika said the injury occurred during the shooting of a dance sequence and described it as the third injury she has suffered in succession. She admitted that the experience had reminded her to pay more attention to her health instead of constantly pushing herself physically.
Explaining the injury, the actor said one of the tendons connecting her right hip to her leg had detached, making it difficult to lift her leg until it heals. She described ‘Mysaa’ as one of the most physically demanding films she has worked on.
Despite the setback, Rashmika assured fans that she is recovering steadily. While acknowledging that the injury is painful, she said it remains manageable and joked that the forced break may have been the only way she would have taken time off from work.
Calling it an unexpected accident, the actor said she has been keeping herself occupied by solving puzzles during her recovery. She also joked about missing her regular workouts, saying she is trying to maintain her fitness despite being unable to exercise for the time being.
Recent reports had stated that doctors advised Rashmika to undergo around six weeks of rest along with a structured rehabilitation programme before returning to film shoots.
