The eagerly awaited reunion of ‘Mega Power Star’ Ram Charan and star director Sukumar is now tentatively scheduled to go on floors in February 2026.
The delay in kickstarting this new project (tentatively titled RC17) is primarily a scheduling necessity.
Ram Charan is currently immersed in the demanding shoot of the rural sports drama Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
Insiders suggest the extensive scale and detailing of ‘Peddi’ will keep the actor busy until January 2026, pushing the start of the Sukumar film.
The duo’s previous collaboration, the 2018 rural magnum opus ‘Rangasthalam’, remains a landmark film in Telugu cinema, setting a non-Baahubali industry record at the time and showcasing Charan in a career-defining rustic role as ‘Chitti Babu’.
This previous success has ensured that anticipation for their next venture, which will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings with music by Devi Sri Prasad.
