Netflix has officially announced its new Telugu original film, ‘Takshakudu’, featuring Anand Deverakonda in a fierce and intense new role.
The project is confirmed to be a rebellious revenge drama that explores themes of moral dilemma and human greed, set in a remote tribal landscape.
The first-look poster, which shows the actor in an intense, Naxalite-like role, carried the intriguing tagline, “In the hunter’s story, the deer are always the culprits.”
‘Takshakudu’ reunites Deverakonda with director Vinod Anantoju, who previously collaborated on the highly successful Middle Class Melodies (2020).
This film marks a stark departure from the actor’s previous grounded dramas. The film is produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinema.
Adding to the star cast is Bollywood actress Nitanshi Goel (Laapataa Ladies fame), who makes her debut in Tollywood with this project. The premiere date on Netflix is expected to be announced soon.
