The makers of the four South Indian versions of ‘Bigg Boss’ have brought together their respective hosts for a new promotional video ahead of the upcoming seasons.
Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal feature together in the promo, representing the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam editions of the reality show respectively. All four versions are scheduled to premiere simultaneously on September 6, 2026.
The promotional campaign focuses on the cultural identities of the four southern states. The hosts find themselves caught up in a humorous situation involving food associated with each other’s regions, creating a light-hearted exchange between the four stars.
The weekend episodes hosted by the respective celebrities have become a major attraction of the franchise, with their reactions, conversations and interactions with contestants often becoming talking points among viewers.
Krishnan Kutty, Head of Entertainment (South) at JioStar, said each host has developed a distinctive connection with audiences in his respective market. He added that bringing all four together allowed the campaign to showcase South Indian culture while reflecting the individual personalities of the hosts.
The simultaneous launch is expected to add further excitement to the new seasons, particularly with the four hosts appearing together for the first time in the promotional campaign.
The Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam editions of ‘Bigg Boss’ will premiere on September 6 across JioStar television channels and JioHotstar. The reality-show format is owned by Endemol Shine and Banijay Entertainment.
