‘Irumudi’ opens strongly with Rs 24 crore worldwide

Ravi Teja’s ‘Irumudi’ has recorded a strong opening at the box office, with the film performing particularly well in its main Telugu market.

According to reported trade figures, the film earned an estimated India net of Rs 14.80 crore on its opening day. It was screened across 2,673 shows and recorded an overall occupancy of 76.9%.

The film’s India gross was estimated at Rs 17.20 crore, while overseas markets contributed around Rs 7 crore. As a result, the first-day worldwide gross stood at approximately Rs 24.20 crore.

The Telugu version generated almost the entire domestic net revenue. According to reports, it earned around Rs 14.78 crore from 2,591 shows and registered occupancy of about 79%.

The Tamil release had a considerably smaller opening. It reportedly collected an estimated Rs 2 lakh from 82 shows, with occupancy reported at 11%.

The opening figures indicate a strong initial response in the film’s core Telugu-speaking market, while its performance in other language versions remains comparatively limited.
