The makers of the Jr. NTR starrer ‘Devara’ have officially confirmed the sequel, ‘Devara 2’, marking the first anniversary of the original film’s release on September 27.
The original action drama, ‘Devara: Part 1’, saw Jr. NTR in dual roles as father Devara, the chieftain of a coastal village, and his soft-spoken son Vara.
The film’s plot centered on a feud between Devara and his counterpart Bhaira (played by Saif Ali Khan) over illegal arms smuggling through the ‘Red Sea’ region.
The first installment ended with a shocking revelation and a cliffhanger, leaving the audience to question who killed Devara, and the sequel is now expected to provide a definitive conclusion to this saga. Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie also introduced Janhvi Kapoor to Telugu cinema.
