Vijay’s emotional & fiery speech in Madurai rally

Actor-turned-politician Vijay electrified the crowd with a powerful and impassioned speech at the TVK (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam) second state conference held in Madurai.
The gathering was emotionally moving—Vijay nearly broke down in front of his parents as an overwhelming wave of fan love washed over him, acknowledging his decision to transition from film to full-time politics.
Politically, he made bold declarations—asserting that he would be the party candidate in all 234 assembly seats, positioning TVK as a formidable third front ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Rejecting political alliances, Vijay declared, “A lion is always a lion”, firmly ruling out ties with either the DMK or BJP.
The party also passed a series of resolutions that highlighted its focus on social justice and governance.
Among these were calls for new laws to curb caste-based killings, urgent filling of more than 400,000 government job vacancies, action against custodial deaths and drug trafficking, and strong opposition to the Parandur airport project that threatens local farmland and water bodies.
