Yash’s ‘Toxic’ gears up for grand release in Tamil Nadu

In a massive show of market power, the Tamil Nadu theatrical distribution rights for Yash’s upcoming film, ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’, have been sold for a staggering Rs 63 crore advance.

This landmark deal highlights the “KGF effect,” as Yash’s popularity in Tamil Nadu has skyrocketed since the success of KGF: Chapter 2. Instead of a single buyer, the film will follow a multi-distributor model across various territories—such as Chennai, Madurai, and Coimbatore—to ensure a record-breaking opening on its release date, March 19, 2026.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is being simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, featuring an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, and Huma Qureshi.

This distribution deal is currently one of the highest ever for a non-Tamil actor in the state.
