Tollywood top star Mahesh Babu has urged everyone to wear face masks without fail, to safeguard themselves and others from the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We are opening up. Slowly, but surely. In a time like this, masks are mandatory. Make it a point to wear a mask every time you step out, that’s least we can do to protect ourselves and others,” he said in an online post.
Mahesh added: “It may seem odd, but it is the need of the hour and we must get used to it. One step at a time! Let’s adapt to the new normal and get life back on track. It’s cool to be masked. I am. Are you?”
Stating that film stars are not super heroes, Mahesh Babu had recently requested everyone to be kind and courteous towards medical workers, whom he lovingly called “super heroes”.
“I stand in gratitude for all health workers who are working selflessly and tirelessly to keep us safe and secure in these trying times,” the top Tollywood star said.
“We must come to understand that they’re doing this to safeguard us. While it is hard to risk your own life, it is harder to leave behind people you love and be in a war zone,” he stated.
