Director Pa Ranjith collaborated with actor Vikram for the first time in the 2024 film ‘Thangalaan’.
The film is a period-action drama and was released in theatres on August 15. The film is backed by Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green banner.
With two months having passed since the release of the film, Thangalaan is yet to make its OTT debut. The streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix.
Many reports began to surface that the streaming release of the film had been delayed due to financial problems.
However, Gnanavel Raja took part in an X space conducted recently and confirmed that Thangalaan is set to release on Netflix for Deepavali.
“They wanted a festival release, and have scheduled our film for Deepavali. However, some of the YouTubers have claimed that the film is in trouble,” Gnanavel Raja said.
The film also features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathi, Daniel Caltagirone, and many others.
