Kamal Hassan’s latest sensation ‘Vikram’ has set the box office on fire.
This gangster drama premiered on Disney + Hotstar on 8 July. Now, ‘Vikram’ ended up as the highest weekend opening nationwide on the OTT platform.
The film was released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages and it got record views in all five languages.
Kamal Hassan thanked the audience for making ‘Vikram’ such a big hit in the theatres. He said that the film reached every household with Disney + Hotstar. He is quite happy about the film achieving record views in all five languages. He congratulated the entire team.
Speaking about it, Disney + Hotstar content head Gaurav Banerjee said, “We are very happy about the record numbers ‘Vikram’ is getting on our OTT platform. The film earned the reputation of a classic due to the manner in which every scene was crafted. It is getting record viewership worldwide and it is the biggest opening weekend for any film in India. We are happy to take such a wonderful nearer to the people. It proved Kamal sir’s stardom once again.”
