Thalapathy meets Thalapathy: CM Vijay visits Stalin, seeks wishes
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Monday met his predecessor and DMK president M. K. Stalin in Chennai, a day after Vijay assumed office as Chief Minister. The meeting was described as a courtesy visit and took place at Stalin’s residence. Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin was also present.
The interaction drew attention because the recent Tamil Nadu Assembly election campaign between TVK and DMK had been highly competitive. Despite political differences, both leaders appeared cordial during the meeting, which was seen as a gesture of democratic respect and political maturity.
Observers believe the meeting sends a message of stability and smooth governance during the transition of power in Tamil Nadu. Political analysts also noted that while cooperation on certain public issues may continue, strong debates between the ruling TVK government and the DMK opposition are expected in the Assembly in the coming months.
