Veteran filmmaker, actor and screenwriter K. Bhagyaraj passed away on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 73.
According to reports, Bhagyaraj experienced a sudden cardiac emergency and was taken to a hospital in Chennai. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, he could not be revived. His passing has left the Tamil film fraternity and millions of admirers grieving the loss of one of the industry’s most accomplished creative minds.
Bhagyaraj was regarded as one of Tamil cinema’s finest storytellers.
