Actor Suriya has shared more details about his decision to celebrate his wedding vow renewal with Jyotika in Scotland. The couple recently held an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends and later shared glimpses of the occasion with their fans.
In another video from the celebration, Suriya thanked everyone who had sent their wishes and expressed appreciation for the teams involved in organising the event, including the photographers, videographers, Blairquhan Castle staff and floral arrangement team.
The actor also explained the couple’s connection with Scotland. He said the region’s misty highlands and lochs reminded them of their own journey together, while the warmth of the people they met made the trip particularly memorable.
Suriya and Jyotika reportedly first met while working on the 1999 film “Poovellam Kettuppar”. Their relationship developed later while working on “Kaakha Kaakha” in 2003. They married on September 11, 2006, and have two children, Dev and Diya.
Although the couple have not acted together since “Sillunu Oru Kaadhal” in 2006, they have continued to support each other professionally and have also worked together through their production ventures.
