The latest buzz in Kollywood is that actress Sreeleela has been cast in Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film, tentatively titled ‘AK64’.
Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, this project marks the duo’s reunion after the success of their collaboration on ‘Good Bad Ugly’ earlier this year.
While Sreeleela’s role is confirmed, sources suggest she may not be the primary lead opposite Ajith, with KGF star Srinidhi Shetty reportedly in talks for that role.
The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, and an official announcement is expected soon.
This casting choice is seen as a strategic move to tap into the pan-Indian market, leveraging Sreeleela’s immense popularity in the Telugu states.
The film is expected to begin shooting in October 2025 and is slated for a summer 2026 release.
