SJ Suryah has described his work on Karthi’s upcoming film ‘Sardar 2’ as one of the projects that delivered an unusually high level of excitement for him as an actor.
Known for taking on intense and morally grey characters, Suryah is set to play a key antagonist in the PS Mithran-directed sequel. During a conversation with Karthi and the filmmaker, he spoke about the satisfaction he experienced while working on the film.
Suryah said projects such as ‘Maanaadu’ and ‘Mark Antony’ had previously given him a similar sense of excitement, but ‘Sardar 2’ stood out because of the overall filmmaking process.
Karthi also brought up Suryah’s performance in ‘Mark Antony’, recalling a particular bus sequence that he found extremely entertaining. The actor said he was so caught up in the moment while watching the film in a theatre that he ended up jumping from his seat.
‘Sardar 2’ features Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath, Yogi Babu and Rajisha Vijayan alongside Karthi and SJ Suryah. The film is slated for a September 10 theatrical release, with Suryah portraying the head of a criminal outfit.
