Sivakarthikeyan resumes ‘Seyon’ shoot in Madurai

Actor Sivakarthikeyan has returned to work after a brief getaway in Ooty and has joined the Madurai schedule of his upcoming Tamil film ‘Seyon’.

The actor was recently seen enjoying some quiet time in the hills of Ooty, where he shared photographs from his break on social media. He has now travelled to Chennai airport and proceeded to Madurai as the film’s latest schedule got underway.

The new schedule is expected to be an important and demanding phase of the production. The team had previously completed its first round of shooting on June 10.

‘Seyon’ is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan and is being produced by Raaj Kamal Films International in association with Turmeric Media. The film features Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, with Baghyashrii Borse playing the female lead. The project marks Borse’s first direct Tamil film.

The movie was formally launched in Madurai on May 18 at a ceremony attended by Kamal Haasan, among others. Before production began, Murugesan had shared a glimpse of his meeting with Haasan and the completion of the agreement for the project.

The film has already generated considerable curiosity following the release of its glimpse video, ‘The Celebration’. The footage is set against the backdrop of the Maasi Kalari festival at the Karumaathur Virumaandi Temple and revolves around an incident that unfolds after a clash during the celebrations.

A sequence from the glimpse shows people gathering at a police station while a constable briefs an inspector about the developments. With the Madurai schedule now in progress, expectations around the next phase of ‘Seyon’ are growing among Sivakarthikeyan’s fans.
