The film revolves around a sumo from Japan who gets washed up ashore in Chennai.
After a local surfer takes care of him, he gets to know the sumo’s past and intends to take him back home and let him complete his unfinished business.
Sumo features a real-life sumo Yoshinori Tashiro from Japan, in the titular role, who appears alongside actors Shiva, Priya Anand, VTV Ganesh, Besant Ravi, Srinath, Yogi Babu and others.
