Sasikumar starts new project with Kannada director Hari Santhosh

Sasikumar is gearing up for another Tamil film, with Kannada filmmaker Hari Santhosh set to make his directorial debut in the language through the upcoming project.

The makers recently confirmed the collaboration, although the film’s title and further details have yet to be announced. The production brings together teams associated with Trident Arts and 6 Dimensons Film and Media.

Ravindran will produce the film under the Trident Arts banner, while Sultan Jasani and Chetan Deolekar will back it through 6 Dimensons Film and Media. Krish K Nagrecha is on board as co-producer, with Sanjay Vijayaraghavan serving as creative producer.

Hari Santhosh began his career with the Kannada film ‘Alemari’ in 2012. He subsequently directed titles including ‘Victory 2’, released in 2018, ‘College Kumar’ in 2020 and ‘By Two Love’ in 2022. His move into Tamil cinema marks a new phase in his filmmaking career.

Sasikumar, meanwhile, continues to expand his lineup of projects across different genres. He recently appeared as SI Moosa Raaza in the second season of ‘Vadhandhi’. His 2026 film credits also include ‘My Lord’, directed by Raju Murugan and featuring Chaithra J Achar.

The actor is also awaiting the release of ‘Freedom’. In addition, he is collaborating with ‘Yaathisai’ director Dharani Rasendran on another film and has reportedly been associated with a potential project involving Kannada filmmaker Yogaraj Bhat.

With Hari Santhosh making his Tamil debut, the new film promises an interesting collaboration between the actor and a director looking to establish a presence in another film industry. More information about the cast, title and production plans is expected to follow.
