The multi-starrer Hindi film ‘Hum Mein Shaahenshah Koun’ is finally emerging from a 37-year-long hiatus.
Originally filmed in 1989, the project features a powerhouse cast including Superstar Rajinikanth, Shatrughan Sinha, and Hema Malini.
The film’s journey was halted decades ago when producer Raja Roy moved to London, but thanks to modern AI-assisted restoration and 4K remastering, the project is set for an April 2026 release.
The restoration process, led by associate producers Aslam and Shabana Mirza, has carefully enhanced the original 35 mm Eastman Colour visuals while preserving the 80s aesthetic and Rajinikanth’s legendary screen presence.
The film also features late screen icons Amrish Puri and Jagdeep, adding a layer of poignant nostalgia for vintage Bollywood lovers.
Music fans can also look forward to a restored soundtrack by the legendary duo Laxmikant–Pyarelal, with lyrics by the late Anand Bakshi.
