The makers of ‘Jailer 2’ have officially announced that the Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer will hit theatres on October 15, ending speculation about the sequel’s release date.
Produced by Sun Pictures, the action entertainer has been scheduled for a festive-season release, giving it the advantage of an extended holiday weekend. Along with its release across India, the film will also open in several international markets where Rajinikanth enjoys a strong fan base.
Directed by Nelson, the sequel reunites much of the creative team behind the blockbuster ‘Jailer’. The new film is expected to feature larger action sequences, an expanded storyline and several additions to the cast.
With promotions expected to begin soon, audiences can look forward to teasers, songs and trailers in the lead-up to one of the year’s biggest theatrical releases.
