Rajinikanth leaves for Abu Dhabi

After wrapping up the shooting of his upcoming movie ‘Vettaiyan’, Superstar Rajinikanth on Wednesday left for Abu Dhabi where he plans to spend a week.

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the film is written and directed by T. J. Gnanavel. Rajinikanth shot for the film for more than 100 days.

‘Vettaiyan’ is touted to be a cop-action drama. Rajinikanth is said to be playing a top cop and the film is believed to examine the ill effects of police highhandedness.

Earlier, actor-producer Rana Daggubati, who is also playing a key role, claimed that ‘Vettaiyan’ will be a unique film in Rajinikanth’s career.

The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan, and it is expected to hit screens worldwide in October.

Rajinikanth is now set to join the sets of ‘Coolie’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

The production of the movie will go on the floors in the first week of June. The filmmakers have claimed that the shoot will continue until early next year and will be filmed across many locations around the world.
