Rajinikanth will be next seen in Lal Salaam, the upcoming sports drama helmed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth.
During the recently held audio launch event of the movie, Rajinikanth finally addressed the rumours about his alleged rivalry with Vijay.
He stated that many people have a false perception that he was targeting the Master actor with his ‘Crow-Eagle’ story. The veteran actor, who further added that Vijay is someone who grew up in front of him, said that he is a well-wisher of ‘The GOAT’ actor, not a competitor.
Rajinikanth also recalled meeting Vijay for the first time when he was just 13 years old, on the sets of his popular film ‘Dharmathin Thalaivan’.
The ‘Jailer’ actor further confirmed that Vijay is gearing up for his political entry soon. Rajinikanth, who stated that it is disrespectful to say that they are each other’s competitors, added that both of them believe in competing with themselves.
He concluded his speech by requesting both his fans and Vijay’s followers to stop comparing them.
