Director Lingusamy has decided to make the sequel to ‘Paiyaa’ and has locked the script as well.
The original film had Karthi and Tamannaah in the lead with lilting music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. But for the sequel it is said that Arya has been brought on board.
Sources now said that the makers are holding talks with Pooja Hegde to play the female lead of the movie.
It was earlier said that the makers had approached Jhanvi Kapoor for the role.
Shooting for the movie is expected to begin once Arya completes his works for ‘Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam’.
An official announcement about the project is expected to be made in the coming days.
