“Not Sivakarthikeyan, Shah Rukh Khan was first choice for ‘Madharasi”‘: AR Murugadoss

Director AR Murugadoss recently disclosed that the lead role in his upcoming film, ‘Madharasi’, was originally envisioned for Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan.

Murugadoss revealed that he had pitched the character idea to Khan about seven or eight years ago, who was receptive to the concept.

However, a full script was never developed and the project eventually stalled. The director explained that the role resurfaced in his mind later, and he felt that Sivakarthikeyan’s versatility and physical agility made him the perfect fit.

‘Madharasi’, an action thriller with a rumored northern India setting, is now set to star Sivakarthikeyan alongside Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, and Biju Menon.
